Henry Ward Ranger (1858-1916) was a prominent American landscape painter in the style of what is considered Tonalist or part of tonalism, in the manner of George Iness and James McNeil Whistler.
Ward’s works are part of the finest museum collections in the world in including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
