Vintage landscape oil painting, inscribed “H.W. New Mexico 47”, possibly written later in the creation of the picture, and not related to the depicting scene.

The painting appears to depict a woman leading a donkey to a local water fountain and is reminiscent of a Mediterranean town scene in Spain or Portugal.  The painting with wear consistent of the inscribed date.
