Product Summary: This unusual antique Chinese porcelain inkstand decorated in underglaze cobalt blue features lion’s paw mounted feet with patinated metal ornament circa early 20th century.
The English willow ware manner hand painted porcelain tray most assumedly being 19th century, and the Chinese porcelain circular scholars object ink and pen mounts, probably Qing dynasty in a traditional Kangxi porcelain style, probably early-mid 19th century.
The metal fittings can be removed for cleaning. This item was most likely made of “Old Parts” in order to complete this stand and each of these items minus the metal mount originally suites its own purpose. Fitting in the chinoiserie manner and style this inkstand is a unique addition to any tabletop décor.
