Product Summary: This Japanese Ojime bead molded-in mixed metal is ornamented with a crab on lotus design.  Created during the late Edo - Meiji period during the 19th century, this Ojime bead, (meaning chord fastener), would have been worn as a functional accessory, in conjunction with a Netsuke and a Sagemono, or Inro case. 

Ojime beads are a welcome addition to any contemporary jewelry or fashion article and can be combined with new and old fashion accessories and jewelry alike.
